JustGiving is one of the world's most popular fundraising platforms, operating in over 160 countries. The platform is used by more than 25,000 charities globally, and has raised over $5 billion for charities and personal causes. This widespread usage means that JustGiving is one of the most trusted fundraising platforms and a firm favourite among supporters.
Our JustGiving integration allows you to create campaigns in Social Sync which automatically create a corresponding "event" in JustGiving. Our campaign registration forms will then simultaneously create fundraisers on JustGiving for your supporters at the same time as they are created for the other platforms we support.
The integration also allows Social Sync to import fundraiser and donation data from JustGiving, both for the campaigns ("events" in JustGiving) created via Social Sync and other JustGiving events not directly connected.
How to set it up?
Getting started is easy and only take a couple of minutes.
There is no need to create your own developer account on JustGiving or create your own integration app. We've abstracted a lot of the work that you may have previously encountered when integrating with JustGiving.
Within Social Sync simply head to Settings > Integrations, or use this link to take you straight there.
From the Integration page, simply click on "Manage integration" on the JustGiving card. As this is the first JustGiving account we're connecting, there's nothing here to manage yet, so just click the purple button to continue.
On the next screen enter your JustGiving Charity ID and securely log in to your JustGiving account to authorise the integration.
Important: You'll need to have admin privileges on the JustGiving account you want to connect. If you don't, please contact a colleague to to either add you as an account admin or to complete this integration step on your behalf.
Managing Your JustGiving Integrations
Our integration also allows the connection of multiple JustGiving, which can be individually linked to different campaigns. To add a second account simply repeat the process outlined above.
You can also manage your connections, from the same modal, allowing you to edit existing connections; disconnect the integration - which removes our ability to create fundraisers and import transaction data - and favourite the integration so it becomes the default one preselected when you linking your campaigns to a JustGiving event.
FAQs
Where do I find my JustGiving charity ID?
Within your JustGiving account go to the Settings tab, then click on "Edit charity details" in the main panel. You'll see your charity ID at the top of the next window.
The integration says my credentials aren't valid
Assuming you've confirmed the details are correct / no typos, then this is a known issue due to some changes to the password requirements of JustGiving's Data API (which differ slightly from the requirements of their regular login passwords).
To fix the issue simply follow the following instructions below, and ensure when setting your new password that the only special character used is a full stop:

You will now be able to link your campaigns on Social Sync with your existing events on JustGiving. You can also create an event on JustGiving directly from within Social Sync. Please see our article on linking your JustGiving events to Social Sync for more info.
You'll also be able to import your JustGiving transaction data. This includes transactions directly linked to campaigns created via Social Sync AND all other JustGiving income.
