Whether you’re setting up a virtual event, a physical challenge, or a tribute campaign, this guide will walk you through each step, with helpful tips along the way to ensure you make the most of your campaign setup.
Accessing the Campaigns Dashboard
Navigate to the Campaigns page in the menu on the left of your screen.
View your Campaigns Dashboard:
Here, you’ll see an overview of your performance across multiple fundraising platforms. You can filter by date and platform (e.g., Facebook, JustGiving, GoFundMe, Social Sync).
To the right, a Campaign Overview shows your total registrations, fundraisers, active fundraisers, and average donation values.
Scroll down to view your list of past and present campaigns.
Top tip: Reviewing your Campaigns Dashboard before creating a new campaign can provide helpful insights into which types of campaigns perform well with your supporters.
Start a New Campaign
Click the New Campaign button to start setting up your campaign.
2. Choose a Campaign Type from the following options:
Facebook Challenge: Virtual events hosted directly on Facebook.
Owned Event: Large fundraising campaigns managed by your organisation.
Celebration: Supporters can fundraise to mark special occasions, like birthdays or anniversaries.
Challenge Event: Physical challenges (e.g., runs or walks) for peer-to-peer fundraising.
In Memory: Tribute funds set up in memory of loved ones.
Gaming: Fundraise through gaming or streaming.
Do It Yourself: Any unique, supporter-led activity.
Top tip: Choose a campaign type that best aligns with your audience's interests and engagement habits. For example, if you have an active online community, a Facebook Challenge may be ideal. For supporters who prefer outdoor events, consider a Challenge Event.
Campaign Setup
Depending on your campaign needs, select one of these options for setup:
Facebook: Manage your fundraiser directly through Facebook.
Branded Fundraising: Use your own branded pages (requires a linked Stripe account).
Multiple Events: Offer various locations or activities within one campaign.
Activity Logging: Enable supporters to track their progress towards a target.
Microsite: Create a branded campaign microsite that links directly to your registration form. It's what your supporters can see prior to registering for your campaign.
Top tip: Branded fundraising provides a unique touch by embedding your brand throughout the supporter experience
Campaign Settings
Click Set Up Campaign to access Campaign Settings and complete the following details:
Campaign Title : Choose a name that resonates with your audience.
Duration and Description: Define the timeline and purpose of your campaign.
Registration and Event Dates:
Registration open/close dates determine when supporters can sign up to your campaign. Your supporters can only register for your campaign within these dates.
Event start/end dates mark the duration of your actual fundraising event. Your supporters can only log activity for your campaign within these dates.
Fundraising Duration: Choose between Dynamic (based on each fundraiser's start date) or Fixed (ending on a set date). Fundraising pages will be closed after the closing date for your campaign.
4. Campaign Code and Event Code (optional): These fields are optional for you to use if helpful with internal tracking.
Note: Be mindful when selecting your dates, as this will impact your supporter’s experience with your campaign.

This is where you add default details for your fundraising pages, including:

Link JustGiving and GoFundMe (Optional)
If you’d like to enable fundraisers on JustGiving or GoFundMe, ensure that:
You’ve integrated your JustGiving or GoFundMe account with your Social Sync account under your profile Settings.
You connect your chosen Just Giving/GoFundMe event to your
You create a registration form with the JustGiving/GoFundMe feature enabled (this can be completed in the next step).

Create Your Registration Form
Click Save and Continue to proceed. You can choose to complete your registration form now or later.

Build Your Communication Journey
Now you’ll enter the Pathway Builder to create an automated communication journey for your supporters.

Review and Launch Your Campaign
Now all you need to do is Save and Complete!
Congratulations! Your campaign is now complete. Remember to monitor its performance on your Dashboard and keep supporters engaged with timely updates.
You can return to the Campaigns Dashboard to view, edit, or delete your new campaign at any time. Simply click the three dots next to your campaign listing.
