Our JustGiving integration allows you to easily create multi-platform fundraising campaigns, combining the power of JustGiving with the flexibility and insights of SocialSync.

While supporters fundraise on JustGiving, their progress will be regularly synced back to SocialSync, where you can view results in your campaign dashboards and fundraising pages. This integration saves your team time by automating the creation of JustGiving pages for supporters and consolidating all fundraising data in one place.

Additionally, using SocialSync alongside JustGiving offers a broader view of your overall fundraising efforts, allowing you to track success across multiple channels, enhance your supporter stewardship, and streamline reporting—all while maintaining full control of your JustGiving campaign.

Connecting your Social Sync campaign to a JustGiving "event".

Firstly, you need to make sure that you have integrated your JustGiving account to your Social Sync account. If you're not sure how to do this, simply follow our two-step process here.

Next, head to your chosen campaign and click on the 'edit' button at the top of your screen.

Then select your 'Settings' and scroll to the bottom where you will find your Just Giving settings.

Then you have two options:

1. If you have already created your event on JustGiving first.

When you come to create/edit your campaign in Social Sync, you simply need to select your JustGiving event from the dropdown.

Note: Don't forget to publish your JustGiving event via JustGiving before you go live with your campaign! There must be an active JustGiving event for Social Sync to create a JustGiving fundraising page for your supporters.

2. You can also create a new JustGiving event directly through Social Sync

If you haven't yet created a corresponding event on JustGiving for the current Social Sync campaign, then you can do this from within Social Sync. In the JustGiving event dropdown simply by clicking 'Create New Just Giving Event' in the drop down menu.

You'll then see an extra modal window, where you can input some additional settings which will be sent to JustGiving to create the event when you save your Social Sync campaign settings.

Adding a JustGiving cover image

For best results you can upload a dedicated cover image for your JustGiving fundraisers. The recommended dimensions are 800px x 400px.

If you don't upload a dedicated cover image for JustGiving then our fallback logic will use the event banner image.

Please note: If no dedicated JustGiving banner image is uploaded AND there is also no existing banner image uploaded as a fallback, then JustGiving fundraiser creations will fail.

Connecting your Social Sync campaign to a JustGiving campaign page

You can also link your JustGiving event to a campaign page on JustGiving, see here for more info. This is an optional step and is not required.

To connect to the campaign page simply grab the final part of the url of your JustGiving campaign page, like so:

Then simply paste it into the field provided in Social Sync and press the connect button.

If the JustGiving campaign is detected correctly then a green checkmark should appear and the connect button will update to a disconnect button. You can disconnect the campaign again at any time to break the connection

How do i set up my registration form?

Setting up a registration form for your Just Giving fundraiser is the same as setting up a registration form for any other fundraiser on Social Sync.

Guide

Learn more about how you can create registration forms by reading through our guide!

What does the supporter experience look like?

Our campaign registration forms can create fundraisers on JustGiving for your supporters. However the supporter will still need to "claim" their JustGiving fundraising page by logging into their JustGiving account or creating a new one. This process will then move the fundraising page from JustGiving's default account (where the fundraisers' name on the page is shown as "Just Giving") to the supporter's own account with their own name shown on the page.

Links to claim the page will be provided on our registration form Success page but can also be added to follow up messages sent via Pathway Builder in case the supporter doesn't claim it immediately.

Guide

Learn how to use our Pathway Builder by reading through our Pathway Builder guide.

You will then be able to track and analyse the fundraising data of each individual, using this to dictate how each segment of your audience is stewarded through your online communications in the Pathway Builder.

More information on JustGiving fundraising data will be coming soon!
