Social Sync's data centre serves as the central hub for all data exports, providing users with a secure and efficient way to access and manage their data.

Whilst data can be exported from Social Sync in many ways, it will all be available in the data centre

Data Centre Overview:

Here's how it works:

  1. Centralised Data Repository: Social Sync's data centre houses a centralised repository of all exported data, including campaign registrations, transactions, order batches, and more. By consolidating data exports in one location, users can easily access and export the information they need for analysis, reporting, or integration with other systems.

  2. Secure Data Storage: Security is a top priority at Social Sync, and our data centre is equipped with robust security measures to protect user data against unauthorised access, data breaches, and other security threats. Data is encrypted both at rest and in transit, and access controls are in place to ensure that only authorised users can access sensitive information. To add an additional layer of protection, each time an exported file is downloaded a unique download link is created which automatically expires after 5 minutes.

  3. Data Exports: Users can request global data exports to suit their specific needs and preferences. Whether it's exporting fundraiser details, transaction records, campaign registrations, users have the flexibility to select the data and date ranges.

Using the Data Centre:

Here's what it looks like:

Exporting data

From the left hand side of the screen you can choose various export options to bulk export data for a specific date range across a number of campaigns (including organic fundraisers) at once. We have a separate article on bulk exporting data.

Export history

On the right side of the screen is a searchable and filterable data table showing your entire export history. This will include all the main exports, including order batches.

The table shows the name of the file, the date the export was requested, the status of the export and finally the export source, i.e. the user who originally requested it.

Finally in the 3 dots menu at the right of the table there is the option to download or delete the exported file.

Export file name conventions

Just a final note on our export file naming convention.

Each file follows a specific format, and includes, in order:

  • the campaign name (or "multiple campaigns" and a count in the case of bulk exports),

  • the type of export,

  • the export timestamp,

  • the export version number,

  • and finally whether its a filtered export or not (i.e. all rows).
