Your data within Social Sync is split into different campaigns. This includes both campaigns you have created via our campaign wizard, and "organic" campaigns, which are automatically created within your account, either when the account was originally created or as a result of a data import.

Our campaign dashboards provide an overview of your key campaign metrics, however if you are involved in the day to day management of campaigns then you may want to export your campaign data for further analysis. Organic campaign data (e.g. Facebok birthday fundraisers can also be exported as a separate campaign)

Fortunately exporting campaign data is very straightforward and you can export either all campaign data or a filtered subset of the data based on our data table filtering options which are available throughout your campaign dashboards.

Choosing what data to export

First up you need to decide what data you need to export - e.g. is it campaign registration data or transaction data you're after?

In most cases the tabs of the campaign dashboard will give you a clear idea of the type of data available in each file, however for a comprehensive view of the data included with each file type, please see our comprehensive data specifications.

Exporting data

Simply navigate to the campaign dashboard tab you want to export from (transactions in the screenshot below) and click the export button.

That will show the following options:

If you have any filters currently enabled on the data tables then the Export Filtered option will be enabled. If no filters are enabled however then this option will be greyed out and only Export All will be available.

Simply click on the export button and a confirmation modal will appear saying the export is in progress.

Depending on the size of the export requested, it may take some time to complete and it will be available in the Data Centre once the file is ready for you to download. In the meantime you can continue navigating the app as normal.

Downloading your exported data

All export requests are run on a queue based system and will be sent to the Data Centre (accessible via the main menu). From there you will be able to download the individual files and see a log of all requested exports along with additional data on their status, date of export and who requested them.
