Getting started: Logging into your Social Sync fundraising page
To begin using the new Social Sync fundraising page, supporters first need to log in. Social Sync provides two easy options for access: via Facebook or via Email.
1. Logging in with Facebook
Select Sign in with Facebook on the login screen.
Supporters will be directed to enter their Facebook login details. Once authenticated, they’ll be taken straight to their fundraising page—ready to manage and share your campaign!
Please note: The Sign in with Facebook option is only available where the user Registered with Facebook on the campaign registration form and has a Facebook fundraiser attached to their registration.
2. Logging in with Email
Select Sign in with Email on the login screen.
A one-time login link will be sent to your supporter’s email address, which is registered with your campaign.
This email will include your organisation’s branding to help them recognise it quickly. When they click the link, they will be logged in to their fundraising page right away!
Making a donation: Choose your preferred way to give!
Supporting your campaign has never been easier—or more tailored to your donors' preferences!
With the new Social Sync fundraising page, donors can now select from multiple donation options, giving them the flexibility to support your cause in the way that feels most comfortable for them.
Donate directly via Social Sync
Donors can simply click the Donate button in the top right corner to make an instant contribution via the Social Sync page. It’s quick, straightforward, and keeps them right on your campaign’s page.
2. Donate on their preferred platform
Now, donors can also choose to support your fundraiser through their favourite platforms, like Facebook, JustGiving, or GoFundMe!
Each platform icon features a Visit Page button, allowing donors to give on the site they trust most. This option not only maximises convenience for them but also increases the likelihood of securing donations, by making sure your supporters’ preferred platforms are all in one place.
Giving donors the power to choose enhances campaign success by meeting them where they are, building confidence, and boosting your reach. It’s a win-win that helps drive greater fundraising impact!
Personalising the Social Sync fundraising page
Customising a fundraising page is quick and easy, allowing your supporters to make it truly personal. Adding images and a compelling story helps attract potential donors and connects them more deeply to your cause.
Edit the banner image
Changing the banner is simple—just click Edit Cover Photo and upload an image that captures the campaign’s spirit. This visual impact makes the page more engaging.
2. Edit the profile image
To update the profile image, supporters can click the camera icon on the profile photo area. A personal photo adds authenticity and lets donors see the face behind the fundraiser.
3. Edit the story
Adding context to My Story is a powerful way for supporters to share why they’re involved. Clicking the pencil icon next to My Story allows them to explain their connection to your cause, adding meaningful context that can inspire others to donate. Supporters also have the option to change the style of their text and portray emotion with the use of emojis!
Logging activity and tracking progress
Supporters participating in Challenge campaigns can easily keep track of their activity and show their progress. By logging their achievements, they provide updates that appear prominently on their page—encouraging donors to stay engaged.
Log Activity
To log activity, supporters can simply click Log Activity underneath their profile picture. Here, they can input the miles completed and date and time of each activity, providing a clear record of their progress.
2. Visibility of Activity
Each update appears in two places:
Directly on their feed, visible as soon as someone visits their fundraising page.
In the Activity tab at the top of the page, where all logged activities are compiled for easy viewing.
3. Editing and Deleting Entries
If needed, supporters can edit or delete any logged activity to keep their progress accurate and up to date.
This feature not only helps supporters stay accountable to their goals but also keeps their supporters and donors engaged along the journey!
Managing and sharing your fundraising pages
The new Social Sync fundraising page makes it easier than ever for supporters to share their campaign across multiple channels and manage their fundraising pages—all from one place.
Share your Social Sync fundraiser
Supporters can quickly spread the word by sharing their Social Sync page through Facebook, Email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and X. They can also copy the link directly and share it anywhere they like. To access these options, they just need to click the Share button in the top right corner of their page.Share platform-specific fundraising pages
For supporters using Facebook, JustGiving, or GoFundMe, sharing these fundraisers directly from their Social Sync page is easy. By clicking the three small dots next to each platform icon, they can select Share to instantly post their chosen fundraiser.Additional options for managing pages
The three dots menu also allows supporters to Visit Page or Hide a specific fundraiser from public view. This flexibility is ideal for anyone choosing to focus their efforts on select platforms.Centralised donation tracking across platforms
The Social Sync page automatically pulls in donation data from all linked fundraising platforms, displaying these contributions in the Feed and Donations tab. This centralised view gives supporters a complete picture of their campaign’s progress, making it easier to celebrate milestones and recognise all contributions.
NOTE: We take privacy very seriously at Social Sync, and so we will not display the names of donors who have donated via platforms other than Social Sync on the Feed and Donations tab. Donors who donate via Social Sync will also have the opportunity to protect their identity by hiding their name.
With these streamlined sharing options, the experience becomes even more personalised, allowing supporters to promote their campaigns in ways that suit them best.
Plus, linked fundraisers have been shown to increase donations by up to 25%—helping your campaign reach new audiences and drive greater impact!
Managing page settings
Supporters have complete control over their fundraising page settings, allowing them to customise their experience easily and effectively.
Accessing Page Settings
Located underneath the fundraiser details on the left-hand side of the page, supporters can find their Settings. This is where they can personalise various aspects of their fundraising page.
2. Edit Fundraiser Details
Supporters can easily update the following settings:
Fundraiser Title: Modify the name of their page to make it more engaging.
Display Name: Change how their name appears on the page.
Pronoun Selection: Choose a preferred pronoun to enhance personalisation.
Fundraising Target: Set or adjust their fundraising goal.
End Date: Specify when their fundraising efforts will conclude.
Visibility Settings: Choose to make their fundraiser visible or hidden. When visible, their fundraiser will appear publicly on leaderboards, the campaign page, and in search engine results, helping to increase exposure and potential donations.
3. Closing the Fundraising Page
If supporters wish to stop receiving donations, they can easily close their Social
Sync fundraising page. However, it’s important to note that any linked fundraisers on Facebook, JustGiving, or GoFundMe will need to be closed separately.
Referring other supporters to your cause!
Last but by no means least, at the top of the new fundraising pages there is a link where anyone can signup to your campaign. This means prospective donors can also become your newest fundraisers!
If your campaign also has Campaign Microsites enabled then there will also be an additional link to your Campaign page, from where they can also signup and see more info about the campaign including the total amount raised for the campaign as a whole.
This is great for those donors who want to support their friends with more than just a financial contribution - by giving them an easy way to take part themselves.
But its also great for your cause as you'll get more registrations, with zero additional acquisition costs!
