Task Centre Overview

How to manage manual supporter stewardship tasks in one place

šŸ‘©ā€šŸ’» At a Glance

The Task Centre is your team’s work queue for manual supporter actions created through journeys or other areas of Social Sync.

Use it to:

  • View and manage open tasks

  • Prioritise work by due date

  • Find overdue actions quickly

  • Review supporter and journey context

  • Complete, cancel or reopen tasks

  • Manage multiple tasks with bulk actions

Unlike the Inbox, which is organised around supporter conversations, the Task Centre is organised around individual tasks. The same supporter may therefore appear more than once.

Task Types

The Task Centre currently supports three task types, each designed for a different kind of manual supporter action.

On-Page Message – Create a personalised message for your team to post on a supporter’s Facebook fundraising page. This is useful for thanking fundraisers, sharing calls to action and reaching organic Facebook fundraisers where direct contact information may be limited.

COMING SOON! Phone Call – Create a scheduled call for your team to complete as part of the supporter journey. Use calls for welcome conversations, follow-ups, high-value stewardship or moments where a more personal interaction can add value.

See our Phone Call Tasks guide for more information.

COMING SOON! To-do – Create a flexible manual action for your team to complete later. To-dos can be used for things like personalised thank-yous, order checks, transaction follow-ups or other supporter actions that do not fit a specific communication channel.

See our To-do Tasks guide for more information.

Finding and Prioritising Tasks

The default view shows Open tasks, ordered by due date so the most urgent actions appear first.

You can:

  • Search by the supporter linked to the task

  • Filter by task type

  • Filter by status – Open, Closed, Cancelled or All

  • Filter overdue tasks

  • Sort by due date

Tasks that pass their due date are highlighted as overdue, helping your team quickly focus on the actions that need attention.

Managing Tasks

Tasks can be:

  • Completed when the action has been carried out

  • Cancelled when the action is no longer required

  • Reopened if a completed or cancelled task needs further action

Completed and cancelled tasks remain available for reference.

You can also select multiple tasks and use bulk actions to:

  • Complete

  • Reopen

  • Cancel

  • Delete

Deleting a task permanently removes it and cannot be undone.

Reviewing Task and Supporter Context

When you open a task, the main panel shows key information such as:

  • Task title and type

  • Due date

  • The supporter

  • The record or action the task relates to

The supporter panel gives you additional context such as registrations, fundraising activity, lifetime value, tags and marketing preferences.

Where a task has been created through Journey Builder, you can also open the related audience record to understand why the task was generated.

Completing a Task

The actions available will depend on the task type.

For example, an On-Page Message includes the prepared message and target fundraiser, while a Phone Call may include the supporter’s number and a call guide.

Once the action is complete, mark the task as Complete. Social Sync keeps a record of the completed activity, including who completed it and when.

See the individual On-Page Message, Phone Call and To-do guides for task-specific instructions.

Tasks and Supporter Journeys

Task touchpoints allow your automated journeys to create manual actions at the moments where human input can add the most value.

Journey Builder identifies the moment. The Task Centre gives your team a simple queue to take action.
