On-Page Message tasks are created for your team to post personalised messages on supportersâ Facebook fundraising pages.
Use the Task Centre to review the supporter and fundraiser context, personalise the prepared message where needed, post it on Facebook and record the completed action in Social Sync.
Finding On-Page Message Tasks
Open the Task Centre and filter by On-Page Message to focus on this task type.
Tasks are ordered by due date, so you can work from those due soonest or filter to show Overdue tasks first.
Open a task to see:
The supporter it relates to
Task title
Facebook fundraising page
Due date
Related fundraising or audience record
Reviewing the Supporter and Fundraiser
Before posting, use the supporter panel and fundraising page link to understand the context behind the task.
You can review information such as the supporterâs fundraising history, lifetime value, registrations and other relevant details.
You can also open their Facebook fundraising page before editing the message. This can be useful where the supporter has shared their motivation or personal story and you want to make the message more relevant.
Reviewing and Personalising the Message
The message created by the journey will appear in the composer ready for you to review.
You can edit it before posting and add:
Merge fields
Emojis
Personalised fundraising or campaign links
Registration or microsite links
Custom Forms for data capture
Dynamic fields are linked to the supporter and audience record, helping you quickly add relevant information without manually searching for it.
You can also replace the original message with another On-Page Message template if a different response is more appropriate. For example, if you discover the supporter is fundraising in memory of someone, you may choose an in-memory message template instead.
Adding Tags
You can add tags that will be applied to the supporterâs audience record when the task is completed.
This can help you track which stewardship actions a supporter has received and report on the impact of different messaging approaches.
Posting the Message on Facebook
Once you are happy with the message, select Message.
Social Sync will:
Build the final message with the dynamic content populated.
Copy the message ready for you to paste.
Open the supporterâs Facebook fundraising page in a new tab.
Make sure you are logged into Facebook as the correct nonprofit Facebook page. Paste the message onto the fundraising page, review it and post.
Then return to Social Sync and mark the task as Complete.
What Happens When You Complete the Task
When the task is marked complete, Social Sync keeps a record of the action.
This can include:
The final message
Who completed the task
When it was completed
Any tags added to the audience record
The completed task remains available in your Task Centre history.
Cancelling a Task
If the fundraising page is no longer available, cannot be accessed or is unsuitable for posting, mark the task as Cancelled instead.
Social Sync will record who cancelled the task and when.
Cancelled tasks remain available in the Task Centre and can be reopened if required.
Managing Multiple On-Page Message Tasks
If a group of On-Page Message tasks no longer needs to be completed, you can manage them in bulk from the Task Centre.
Select multiple tasks to:
Cancel them while keeping a record of the tasks
Delete them if they were created by mistake, are test records or should be permanently removed
Deleted tasks cannot be recovered, so use Delete only when the task record is no longer required.
For general information on bulk actions, sorting and task statuses, see our Task Centre guide.
Making Messages More Personal
Templates and dynamic content help you work efficiently, but you can still adapt each message when the supporter context calls for it.
A quick review of the supporter profile or fundraising page can give you the opportunity to recognise their motivation, previous support or fundraising progress.
Use the prepared message as a starting point, then add a personal touch where it can make the biggest difference.
