The time to Registration Process for Paris Marathon

Updated this week

Once supporters have registered their place for the Paris Marathon place through your Social Sync campaign, they must complete their event registration to finalise their entry with ASO.

This happens via the time to event console, using the Njuko registration platform.

💡 You may hear people use Njuko and time to interchangeably and in practice they’re closely connected but the key difference is:

  • Njuko = the platform behind the registration

  • time to = the registration console supporters use to complete it

🔗 How to share a supporter’s Njuko Confirm Place Link

Social Sync provides each registrant with a unique Njuko confirmation link, which they must use to finalise their entry. You can send this link in several ways.

🔎 Manually share a supporter's Njuko Link

  1. Open your Paris Marathon campaign.

  2. Click the Participants tab at the top of the page.

  3. Select the Registrants tab further down the screen.

  4. Click on any individual registrant to open their registration modal.

  5. Scroll down to the Place Management section.

  6. Here you'll see:

    • The type of place they hold (Charity, Own Place, or Cancelled)

    • Their personalised Njuko Confirm Place Link

7. Copy the Njuko confirm place link directly from the registration modal.

8. Paste it into an email or any communication tool you use.

Important note: This link is unique to each registrant and must only be used by the supporter it was generated for.

Add the Link to Your Existing Registration Pathway

If you'd like the link to go out automatically as part of your registration communication journey:

  1. Go to Pathways in your campaign.

  2. Open the pathway you want to update (e.g., your charity place registration journey).

  3. Click into the email where you want to include the Njuko link.

  4. Add a new button.

  5. Click the ⚡ Thunderbolt icon to open your Dynamic Fields.

  6. Select the Njuko Registration dynamic field.

    • This automatically inserts each supporter’s unique link when the email is sent.

  7. Save your changes and republish the pathway.

This ensures every future registrant receives their link seamlessly.

Creating pathways for different supporter segments

Pathways are a great way to automate reminders and targeted comms based on where supporters are in their journey.

If you’d like a refresher on how Pathway Builder works before creating your own, read this guide: How to use Pathway Builder

Once you understand the basics, here are two common segments you may want to contact during the Paris Marathon registration process.

✉️ Segment 1: Successful charity place applicants who have not yet registered on Social Sync

This is useful when you want to email successful applicants, but exclude anyone who has already become a registrant/fundraiser.

Steps

  • At the source/trigger select Date/Time trigger

  • Add the date you want your email to go out on

  • Click on the Exclusions tab at the top of the pop up

  • Exclude anyone who is already a registrant, fundraiser or active fundraiser by selecting:
Audience member segment > is any of > Registrant, Fundraiser, Active Fundraiser
✅ This excludes registrants and only pulls through your applicants

  • Save your changes

  • Click the + icon on your pathway to add a condition

  • Segment your audience based on application status by choosing:
Programme participant status > is any of > Invited - Charity Place
    Then save your changes

  • This will split your pathway into a Yes and No branch

  • Follow the YES branch and click the + icon to add an email

  • Add your copy, check your settings, and hit Publish once you're happy

✉️ Segment 2: Registrants who have OR have not created their time to account

This is ideal for sending reminders to registrants who haven’t completed account creation yet, or confirming next steps for those who have.

Steps

  • At the source/trigger select Date/Time trigger

  • Add the date you want your email to go out on

  • Click on the Exclusions tab at the top of the pop up

  • Exclude anyone who is NOT a registrant, fundraiser or active fundraiser by selecting:
Audience member segment > is none of > Registrant, Fundraiser, Active Fundraiser
✅ This excludes applicants and keeps only registrants/fundraisers

  • Save your changes

  • Click the + icon on your pathway to add a condition

  • Segment your audience based on whether they have received the Njuko account creation tag by selecting:
Campaign tag > is any of > Njuko - Account Created

  • This will split your pathway into a Yes and No branch:

    • YES branch: contact those who have created their time to account

    • NO branch: contact those who have not created their time to account

  • Click the + icon to add an email to the relevant branch(es)

  • Add your copy, check your settings, and hit Publish once you're happy

Njuko registration tracking

Once your runners begin registering on the event console, Social Sync helps you track who has completed their Njuko account creation so you can manage follow-up actions with ease.

Checking Individual Supporters

  1. Head to your Registrations area in Social Sync.

  2. Open the registration modal for the supporter you want to review.

  3. Scroll to the Place management section.

  4. Look for the Status field:

    • Blank → The supporter has not completed their Njuko account creation.

    • Account created → The supporter has completed their Njuko account setup on Njuko’s side.

This allows you to quickly identify who may still need a reminder or who is fully set up.

Social Sync also applies a campaign tag to each Njuko registrant automatically. To check these at scale you can either export your data or view your data in Social Sync.

Viewing Registrations in Bulk via an Export

  • Go to your Participants Tab from your Campaign Dashboard

  • Click on 'Export your registration data from Social Sync.

  • Open the exported file and locate the Campaign Tag column.

  • You’ll see which supporters have completed their Njuko account creation based on whether they have the 'Njuko - Account Created' tag.

This makes it easy to segment, report, or trigger follow-up communication pathways for your marathon or event participants.

Viewing Registrations in Bulk in Social Sync

  • Go to your Participants Tab from your Campaign Dashboard

  • Click on the filter icon

  • Filter for 'campaign tags > is any of > 'Njuko - Account Created'.

  • This will pull through all registrants with the appropriate tag
