Welcome to Social Sync! We’re excited to have you on board during TCS Sydney Marathon!
Setting up your SocialSync account is the first step to unlocking the full potential of your nonprofit’s fundraising efforts. In this guide, we'll walk you through adding key information about your organisation, setting your brand colours, and connecting powerful integrations to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Logging in to Social Sync
Before you log in, you will need to download a two-factor authentication (2FA) app on your mobile device. If you don't already have a 2FA app installed on your mobile device then we recommend using Google Authenticator. You can search for and install it via the App Store on your device.
What is 2FA? 2FA provides an extra layer of protection, beyond just a username and password, to ensure the security of online accounts.
Logging in for the first time
When a user logs in to Social Sync for the first time they will be prompted to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) as part of the process.
Here's what this looks like:
All you need to do is open the authenticator app on your phone and scan the QR code on the right side of the page.
Once done, the app will be in sync with your Social Sync user account and will provide a code on your device, which refreshes every 60 seconds.
Simply type the 6 digit code from the app into the panel on the left side of the login page to complete the process. You will then be redirected to the home dashboard of your Social Sync account.
Subsequent log ins:
Each time you log in, after entering your email and password you'll see this screen:
Simply open the authenticator app on your mobile device and enter the corresponding 6 digit code before it expires.
Getting started
Your settings are where you will find all of your personal and organisational details. Simply look for the cog icon in your menu...
The first tab allows you to edit your organisational, regulatory and contact details, as well as your social media links.
Note: The details that you add here will get pulled through automatically as you build forms, message templates and supporter journeys, saving you time and providing your users and supporters with a consistent and recognisable experience.
Branding
This next tab is the place to really make Social Sync look and feel like home, as we give you the option to use your brand colours and logos, which you will then see throughout your account and communications:
More Info: Your Charity Logo is used in page builder headers and needs to be less than 5MB whilst the Charity Favicon is used in site identity in browser tabs and must be less than 1MB with a maximum size of 512x512 pixels.
Integrations
Now it's time to integrate your JustGiving and Email account to Social Sync, so head to your Integrations page via your Settings.
Follow these instructions to allow for seamless usage and management of your TCS Sydney Marathon campaign!
Note: You do not need to integrate with any other platforms during TCS Sydney Marathon. However, if you are interested in using the platform for future campaigns, we are happy to share more details with you. Simply contact us at [email protected]
Adding your users
This is where you can remove and add new members of your team so that you can work across Social Sync collaboratively. Simple click on 'Invite New User' and fill in the user details. Each user will then receive instructions on logging into the platform.
