Order Batching

How to create batches for fulfilment of incentive and reward merchandise

To aid fulfilment and help prevent duplicate sending of orders we have created a simple order batching system that you can run directly from the Campaigns dashboard in Social Sync.

Each individual order can be seen with one of three status options clearly displayed:

  • NEW - The order has not yet been added to a batch.

  • PROCESSED - The order has been batched and an export file prepared for your fulfilment house.

  • CANCELLED - The order was cancelled as a result of a supporter request or if the they have cancelled their registration for the event.

IMPORTANT: Social Sync does not track physical fulfilment of your orders. You will need to use the export file to ensure that these are processed in your usual way.


Where to find batching

  1. Click on Campaigns in the left hand tool bar menu.

  2. Scroll down and select the campaign that you wish to create a batch for.

  3. Click on the Orders tab running along the top of the screen

How does order batching work?

Batching applies to any "new" orders in your campaign. The act of creating an order batch simply takes new orders, updates the order status to processed and assigns each order a batch ID.

You can either batch all new orders or choose to batch only new orders in the current filtered view (if filters are applied).

Each unique batch can then be separately exported and uses the orders export spec. An order can never appear in multiple batches as the fact its status is no longer "new" means that future batches won't pick the order up again
